10. Australian Cattle Dog
This is an active breed that must be exercised both physically and mentally on a regular basis. Originally, this breed was specifically bred to herd cattle in Australia. It should be noted that this breed is very freethinking, resourceful and protective of its property, including its owner(s).
This breed is both highly intelligent and extremely courageous and reliable. Though the Rottweiler is often viewed as fearsome, that is not actually the case. Truth be told, the Rottweiler is only of average intensity, and make a great family dog. Don't let the looks fool you.
Though this dog does not look very intimidating, they are actually somewhat moody and aggressive when it comes to defending their masters. These little dogs are just protective of what they believe to be their home turf. Truth be told, when they don't feel threatened they are actually one of the most affectionate dog breeds.
